Stellar UX Design / Kelly Weldon™
I work at the edge of what’s not quite defined;

As a Senior Staff Product Designer at Adobe, I design Generative AI tools for video and audio — shaping how people create with emerging technology.

I’m interested in the space between research and reality, where ideas are still forming.

The curiosity felt through my work also expands beyond screens into physical experiences: an A-frame cabin and a natural wine experience.

Stellar UX Designing Products + Experiences

I occasionally speak about design, creativity, and emerging tech — most recently at Adobe MAX, ArtCenter College of Design, the Diversity in Design Collective, and Sundance Film Festival (Adobe House). I’m especially interested in how generative AI is reshaping creative work, and how we can design tools that feel intuitive, expressive, and human.

Adobe Firefly Generate Video

Firefly Generate Video lets you create video the same way you sketch an idea—quickly, loosely, and without overthinking the process.

Using text or visual prompts, you can generate clips, explore different styles, and shape motion and composition in real time. It’s built for the early stages of creation, where speed and iteration matter most—helping you move from a rough idea to something you can see, share, and build on.

I designed Firefly Generate Video from the ground up—leading the product from early concept through launch and defining the core experience and feature set.

Post-launch, I continued to shape its evolution before stepping back from day-to-day execution to focus on more strategic, 0→1 work.

Adobe Firefly Boards

Firefly Boards is an AI-first canvas for exploring ideas before they’re fully formed.

It brings moodboarding, concepting, and storytelling into one space—where you can gather inspiration, generate visuals, remix styles, and shape creative direction in real time.

Built for early-stage thinking, it helps creators move from vague ideas to something tangible faster, with everything living on a flexible, collaborative canvas.

I helped originate and pitch Firefly Boards as a new product direction within Adobe—developing early vision work, design explorations, and strategic framing. The concept was selected as an incubator project and later taken forward by a dedicated team. My contribution focused on shaping the idea at its earliest stage, before it became a formal product.

Vodafone 2030

Vodafone 2030 is a future-facing concept exploring what telecommunications could become—and what role Vodafone might play in that future.

Built around the idea of “finding each other,” the project imagines a world where technology is more emotionally aware, adaptive, and embedded into everyday life.

Through a series of speculative products and story-driven scenarios, we designed a connected ecosystem that reframes telecom not just as infrastructure, but as something that actively supports human relationships.

As a designer, I contributed to the overall vision and concept development, helping shape the narrative direction and translate future-facing ideas into tangible product concepts and experiences.

Tanzu Gemfire

Tanzu GemFire is an in-memory data grid powered by Apache Geode. It's a distributed, in-memory, key-value store that performs read and write operations at blazingly fast speeds. It offers highly available parallel message queues, continuous availability, and an event-driven architecture you can scale dynamically, with no downtime.

Our goal for Tanzu GemFire was to make it easy for Developers to “get started” building apps with Tanzu GemFire and Spring Boot.

We wanted to radiate the understanding of the developer experience with our team both internally (the product team) and externally (e.g. customer support engineers).
